Oppo F5 with 6GB RAM and 20MP unveiled in India

Chinese technology firm, Oppo, recently unveiled Oppo F5 Selfie smartphone in India last week after it was launched in the Philippines. The Oppo F5 comes with a 20MP front camera, and the 18:9 Full-screen display. Two variants of F5 was launched in India and the difference between both variants are the internal storage and RAM. The smartphone which is mainly focused on selfie lovers will be exclusively sold online on Flipkart with more lucrative offers. Not only that, the new Oppo phone will be sold via offline stores across the country.
Together with the F5, the company as well unveiled the Oppo F5 youth which has a 6-inch screen and then AI beautification features, that should be launched in India next month, nevertheless, no additional information of the phone are available as we speak.

Oppo F5 with 4GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage variant starts at Rs. 19,900 for the Gold and Black edition. the other variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage starts at Rs. 24,990 which will be available in Red and Black colour. Flipkart will start selling the device from November 9th and other offline stores will begin sales shortly after. Sadly, the 6GB RAM variant will be joining the market yet as the company revealed it will go on sale next month.

Oppo F5 Specs and features

The Oppo F5 comes with a Dual (Nano) SIM with a 6-inch Full HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) LTPS Display screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone runs ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat which is powered by a MediaTek MT6763T Octa-core SoC coupled along with 4GB or 6GB RAM. It is powered by a 3200mAh battery.
The Oppo F5 selfie has a 20-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture, and on the rear, it has a 16-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and an f/1.8 aperture.

Both variants of the Oppo F5 has a dedicated slot for microSD card of up to 256GB. Connectivity options found on the phone are 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG support, and a 3.5mm audio jack. In addition, Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and proximity sensor.
