Build and Design:
In today’s fast-paced world, users expect their phone to be rigid and sturdy. The thick bezel finish and metal design with an extra thick polycarbonate case make the new iPhone X a worthy choice. As Samsung offers an edge-to-edge bezel-free design, the smartphone needs more protection cases to survive. However, the glass sandwich design technology of both makes them equally fragile.
Samsung wins over the screen design with its Super AMOLED display when Apple offers only a basic OLED display. AMOLED is better efficient than OLED with lower power draining capacity and better representation of whites. Even the larger resolution capacity befitting, the larger screen size puts Samsung on a higher scale than Apple.
Processor and RAM:
iPhone X has a new processor – the A11 Bionic chipset which is a 6-core processor and has been proved highly robust under single and multiple core tests by GeekBench. The scores of iPhone X are relatively higher than the Samsung Galaxy S8 records.
However, the RAM capacity of iPhone X is quite weak compared to the high-end processor it offers. When market trends are now offering 8 GB RAM capacity, the small 3 GB is a disadvantage of the iPhone X. Samsung stills stands a better chance with a reasonable 4GB RAM.
Samsung offers to us not only a storage capacity of 64 GB but also expanding this capability up to 256 GB. But Apple iPhone X provides a fixed 64 GB or 256 GB storage which may seem enough now but has no chance of increasing the storage capacity.
