BlackBerry used their twitter handle to announce the unveiling of their KEY2 smartphone which is going to be the successor of KEYone. The launch event is going to take place in New York on the 7th of June 10 am ET.
The device just as its name suggests will be featuring a physical keyboard just like the KEYone. As the presence of a physical keyboard has been a major selling point for BlackBerry till now and they would like to keep the ball rolling.
BlackBerry introduced a slew of features to the KEYone keyboard which made the keyboard experience a whole lot better, so it would be interesting to see how they are going to up their game for the KEY2 this year.
The TENAA listing of the device which showcased a dual rear camera setup featuring a 12MP+8MP camera, 4.5-inch 1620:1080 display in a 3:2 ratio, 4G LTE and includes dual-SIM support and the Snapdragon 660 processor.
There have been some rumors regarding the build of the device that it might have a plastic body, and the keyboard will be matte finished. But there hasn’t been any other announcement by the company itself regarding the specs on the KEY2. So we will have to wait and see.
