Yesterday, at IFA, Acer announced a series of new innovative devices powered by Windows 10. From adding new Gaming console of the Premium line to unveiling a top-tier convertible laptop, a new all-in-one desktop PC in its Aspire desktop series; and new detachable devices for working on-the-go with the next generation of their Swift, Spin, and Switch models.

Acer expands Predator Gaming arsenal
The PREDATOR ORION 9000 provides for the beat gaming Experience. It features Intel Core-i9 Extreme Edition Processors and a 4-Way AMD Radeon RX Vega Graphics. It supports up to 128 GB quad-channel DDR4 memory, making computing faster and smoother than ever. You can also avail the Windows 10 Creators Update features. Its big point is Liquid Cooling and IceTunnel 2.0 which is ultimately needed for super gaming.
The Acer Predator Orion 9000 gaming desktops will be available in North America in December with prices starting at $1,999.
Predator Galea 500 gaming headset
It is said good hearing improves task performance. With this gaming headset, you get right inside the game. Acer TrueHarmony 3D Soundscape technology recreates the acoustic space based on the orientation of the player’s head, convincing the brain that sound is coming from a fixed direction.
The headset has been priced at $300 along with a new Predator Cestus 500 gaming mouse at $80.
Acer Predator X35
The new monitor sports a large 35-inch display with 21:9 aspect ratio with a WQHD (3440×1440) pixels resolution. It comes with Acer HDR Ultra and Quantum Dot technology. It supports 4ms response time, and high 200Hz refresh rate combined with Nvidia G-Sync for smooth gameplay. And will be available in the first quarter of 2018.
Acer Switch 7 Black Edition
Acer also introduced its fanless 2-in-1 notebook dubbed Switch 7 Black Edition. It features a 13.5-inch display with 2256×1504 pixels. And is powered by 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor with a NVIDIA GeForce MX150 Graphics. It comes with a kickstand and runs on Windows 10. Acer Switch 7 Black Edition will be going on sale in December starting at $1,699.
Acer Nitro 5 Spin
Acer also revealed its new Nitro 5 Spin convertible laptop targeted at gaming enthusiasts. It comes in two display sizes including 13-inch and 15-inch sizes. The laptop is powered by Intel’s 8th generation i5 or i7 processor offering up to 16GB of RAM. It features 360˚ rotation and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics.

Acer Chromebook 15
Acer quotes that this is a 15.6 inch Chromebook that you would want to own. It comes in two models – Touch screen and Non-touch screen. It has an aluminum design and is claimed to support a 12-hr battery life. You can get it in two configurations of dual-core Intel Celeron or quad-core Intel Pentium processors. Available with 32GB or 64GB of storage as well as 4GB or 8GB of RAM. It features a backlit keyboard and an 88˚ wide angle webcam.
It will be available in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) in October starting at EUR 499. It will also be available in North America in October starting at $399. For more –
Acer Swift 5
“Weighing just 0.97kg, the elegant Swift 5 combines ultimate portability with smooth usability.”
The new Swift 5 is said to offer stylish portability alongside capable performance. It weighs less than 1kg and is built with ultra-light magnesium alloys. The laptop is powered by 8th gen Intel Core processors and is said to deliver up to 8 hours of battery life. It has a full-HD IPS touchscreen display and a backlit keyboard. The Swift 5 will be available in North America in December starting at $999.
Acer Spin 5
“A head-turning, 360° media device engineered with great productivity power.”
The 13-inch model weighs 1.5kg and is at 15.9mm thin, while the 15-inch model is just over 2kg and 17.9mm thin. They both ship with eighth generation Intel Core processors, up to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, and even a discrete Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics. The Acer Spin 5 will be available in North America in September with 13-inch model starting at $799.

- Aspire S 24 – A 23.8-inch all-in-one desktop PC, it is the company’s “slimmest ever” featuring a display with a side profile of the only 5.97mm.
- Acer VL7860 and Acer P8800 projectors – “You never have to leave home to enjoy cinema-quality entertainment.”
- Holo360 – An all-in-one camera that allows users to capture, view, edit and share with just one device
- Vision 360 – It is a cloud-connected 360-degree camera with the use of two “ultra-high quality cameras.“
- Acer Windows Mixed Reality Headset & Motion Controller – “Immerse yourself in a new reality” with this 4K resolution VR.
- Pawbo Munch – Pawbo, Acer’s wholly owned subsidiary, introduced two new products including Pawbo iPuppyGo, a lightweight tracker that keeps tabs on pets’ activity and wellness, and Pawbo WagTag, a cloud-connected collar for dogs to keep track of the location.
