E3 2018 Day 4 Round-Up Nintendo | Pokémon: Let’s Go

Pokémon: Let’s Go

The Los Angeles E3 came to an end on 12 June 2018. Nintendo was the sole presenter of the last day and they had some exciting news to share.

1. Pokémon: Let’s Go

The most exciting and anticipated game at Nintendo’s E3 conference was Pokémon: Let’s Go.

The game will release in two variants- Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee. There are very few differences in the game except for the companion Pokémon that will ride your character’s shoulder through the course of the game. Although Pikachu and Eevee are only companions that can ride your shoulder, based on the game’s edition, you can make another Pokémon follow you around the world.

The game takes the series back to its root in the original Kanto region and features the first 151 Pokémons. Capturing Pokémons is, however, different. Unlike the original Pokémon where you had to weaken a wild Pokémon before capturing it, capturing Pokémons in Pokémon: Let’s Go is similar to Niantic’s Pokémon Go and you just have to swing the joy con to throw a ball.

You play using only one joy con and the other one can be used to add another player merely by shaking the joy con. However, according to Nintendo, the best way to play Pokémon: Let’s Go is the Poké Ball Plus controller, which costs $50 and comes with legendary Mew. You can also take this controller along with you and it will vibrate and mimic the voice of the Pokémon you have trapped in it.

2. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate occupied a majority of time at Nintendo’s E3 conference. The game will feature every Nintendo character ever in an ultimate fighting showdown. It can be also played using GameCube’s original controller.

3. Super Mario Party

Super Mario Party is a huge set of minigames that features all the Mario characters. Four players can play the game at once. The most exciting feature about it is that you can remodel the world by physically rearranging Switch Consoles. The game can also be played on a traditional television.
