Huawei presented the Product of the Year award to the flagship Huawei P20 Pro in the category “Smartphone for capturing photos and videos of the premium class” as part of the annual national product “Product of the Year.” This device received a title for a triple camera with optics Leica, triple optical and five-fold hybrid zoom and the use of artificial intelligence technologies to improve the quality of the images.

The smartphone installed the world’s first triple camera with optics Leica. It consists of a 40-megapixel RGB sensor with an f / 1.8 lens, a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f / 1.6 lens and an 8-megapixel sensor with a f/2.4 long-focus lens. Due to the increased sensitivity to ISO 102 400, the sensor captures more detail and is able to take pictures even in the very low light.

The new Leica VARIO-SUMMILUX-H 1: 1.6-2.4 / 27-80ASPH lens used in the smartphone provides a three-fold optical zoom. In combination with digital zoom, this gives the smartphone the possibility of a fivefold increase with the minimal loss of quality. Also, the Huawei P20 Pro uses Leica Color technology, a color temperature sensor, and Huawei AIS image stabilization system that works on six axes, and 4D autofocus for moving subjects and dynamic scenes. The smartphone can shoot videos in 4K format and make a slow motion with a frequency of 960 frames per second.

The preinstalled software on the Huawei P20 Pro improves the pictures with an extensive set of filters, produces a three-dimensional correction of the lighting, giving the received portraits a professional studio look, and adjusts the color and shape of the faces, making them as natural as possible, regardless of the shooting conditions.
