LG V30 will be the second flagship phone released in the year 2017, the first being the G6. The G6 was a really powerful device with great specs, but was soon outmatched by other flagship phones which were released later this year. The V30 is an even more powerful flagship phone which is rumored to be revealed on August 31st. Until then here are some leaks and rumors about the design and internal specifications of the device to get you aboard the hype train.
Build Quality and Design:
Not much is known about the build quality and design apart from CAD renders leaked on twitter. The build quality and design of the previous flagship phones by LG have been great and unique. Most probably the V30 will feature a full metal aluminum body like most flagship phones released this year. There is also no confirmation of the use of the secondary display in the V30. The secondary display was a great center of attraction for the other phones by LG. The secondary display is used to provide necessary information like notifications, reminders, etc., on the other screen.
The phone is also rumored to be IP68 waterproof and also shock resistant. The 3.5 mm headphone and an USB C type port is confirmed to be present in the smartphone and that’s pretty good. The smartphone will most likely feature a 6.0+ inch display with a display resolution of 1440 x 2560. The rumor is that the screen will be OLED instead of a regular IPS LCD display. The LG V20 will be the first smartphone to feature an OLED screen considering its compatibility with Google Daydream
The LG V30 will most likely feature the latest processor by Qualcomm, the MSM8998 Snapdragon 835. This is an octa-core processor clocked at 4×2.45 GHz & 4×1.9 GHz. For 3-d processing needs the phone will use Adreno 540 GPU. The internal storage and RAM will be available in two variants, 64 GB, 4 GB RAM or 128 GB, 6 GB RAM. The dedicated memory expansion slot is not yet confirmed. The predecessor phones all had them, so there is a great chance of an expandable memory slot. The LG V30 will most likely follow the trend of dual rear camera’s with the rear camera featuring two 13 MP shooters and the front camera featuring a 8 MP shooter. The camera have always been great in other LG phones and we expect the same level of quality in the upcoming smartphone.
