The unique thing about both is that they are made of glass and metal designs with IP67 waterproof to compete with the likes of Apple iPhones X and Samsung Galaxy S8. Both have dual front-firing speakers.
Pixel 2 XL is bigger than Pixel 2 measuring 157.9 x 76.7 x 7.9mm and weighs 175g while Pixel 2 measures 145.7 x 69.7 x 7.8mm and weighing 143g.
The front display of Pixel 2 features a standard 16:9 ratio display while Pixel XL comes with 18:9 display (almost –all-screen front screen display).

As for Pixel 2, it’s has a 5-inch display offering a 16:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which delivers a pixel density of 441ppi (like the 2016 model). Pixel 2 XL is slightly sharper with a 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels which translate to 18:9 aspect ratio just like the recent LG V30.

They both offer the same 12.3MP single rear camera with a focus on features (quality), not megapixels. They also have the same 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.4 with fixed focus.

Pixel 2 XL has a slightly larger battery capacity of 3520mAh compared to 2700mAh of Pixel 2. Both devices charge via USB Type C and offer quick charging of up to 7hrs in 15 minutes.
