It has been a long awaited confirmation. But today, during Google’s I/O developer conference, Google finally confirmed that it’s unveiling Google’s Daydream mobile VR ecosystem for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.

This means there will be a software update for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus this summer for the support of the Google Daydream.

Users of the Samsung S8 and S8 Plus will be able to pair the handsets with  Google Daydream View.

As notable, Samsung’s Galaxy line is already using the Gear VR headset designed by Samsung with Oculus partnership which makes us if the new Samsung Google Daydream if it will catch up with Samsung Gear VR.

Other smartphones with the support of Google Daydream

As rumored, LG’s next flagship phone, set to be revealed later this year, will also support Daydream.

Also, Asus’ yet-to-be-released Zenfone AR, Huawei’s Mate 9 Pro, Motorola’s Moto Z, ZTE’s Axon 7 and Google’s Pixel had all announced that their devices had the support of Google’s Daydream mobile VR platform.
