Sony is working on its first smartphone based on the Snapdragon 855 processor. This is reported by gizmochina referring to the results of the benchmark test Geekbench. The future novelty appears in the database, codenamed H8526 and, obviously, will be presented not earlier than next year.
According to Geekbench, in addition to the Snapdragon 855 chipset, the smartphone is equipped with 8 GB of RAM. Such a set of hardware characteristics allowed the unannounced novelty to earn more than three thousand points in a single-core test and more than 10 thousand – in a multi-core.
Despite the fact that the Snapdragon 855 is the next year’s processor, which works in conjunction with 8 GB of RAM, this performance is comparable to the A12 chipset from Apple and 4 GB of RAM, which the American vendor will equip the current generation of branded smartphones.
According to the confirmed information, Snapdragon 855 will be the first chipset of Qualcomm company, executed on a 7-nm technological process. His production will deal with the Taiwan contract TSMC, which provides the release of “stones” A-series for smartphones Apple.
