We saw a long time ago that Microsoft and Samsung have begun to work together, where Samsung just focuses more on the Android market with their smartphones. Proof of this is the Samsung Galaxy S8 Microsoft Edition, which, although it has Google’s operating system, pre-installed Microsoft applications brings.
But now, any mobile phone as the Samsung Galaxy S6, S7 and S8 will be able to unlock any computer with Windows 10 through the fingerprint reader. But there are a couple of details to consider, the first, is that Windows Hello must be compatible with your computer. If so, you only need to download the official app from Samsung to activate the function, that is available in the shop of Android as Samsung_Flow.
For Windows PC side.
The following devices support Samsung Flow:
1. Windows Tablet/PC: Windows 10 OS Creators update or newer (15063.413) (Galaxy TabPro S, Galaxy Book, PC)
2. Android Tablet: Android Nougat OS or newer (Galaxy Tab S3, etc.)
3. Android Phone: Android Mashmallow OS or newer (Galaxy S8, S8+, S7, S7 Edge, S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 5, A5, A7, etc.)
* For the latest device list, please check the app’s compatibility on Google Play™. * Bluetooth (Bluetooth LE optional), Wi-Fi direct, fTPM enabled (China dTPM)
