A lot more interesting are the technical specifications of Huawei P30 Pro, which incorporates much of those of the standard model, but improving them in many respects. It starts from the OLED screen, which on the Pro version has a diagonal of 6.47 inches, FullHD + resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels) and curved on the sides. The screen has Acoustic Display Technology, with the sound that is emitted directly from the display increasing the auditory surface, while ensuring maximum privacy for calls.
Under the body, also in this case protected by glass on both sides, we find the HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, with octa core CPU and Mali-G76MP10 GPU, flanked in this case by 8 GB of RAM and three different internal memory cuts, expandable with nanoSD cards up to 256 GB: users can choose between 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB, depending on their needs.
The connectivity remains unchanged, with 4G / VoLTE (Cat.21), WiFi 802.11 ac dual band, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, NFC, dual SIM and USB Type-C 3.1 connector, but the 3 jack is missing, 5 mm, present instead on the standard version. The battery, which can count on 15W wireless charging and 40W wired charging, has a capacity of 4,200 mAh. Wireless charging also works in reverse mode, to recharge smartphones and other accessories.
We come to the photographic sector, even more advanced on Huawei P30 Pro which can count on a quadruple rear camera. We have a 40-megapixel main sensor, which we talk about most in the next section, with an equivalent focal length of 27 millimeters, f / 1.6 focal length and optical image stabilization, 20 megapixel ultra wide-angle secondary sensor, with equivalent length of 16 millimeters, f / 2.4 aperture, and an 8-megapixel sensor with an equivalent length of 15 millimeters, f / 3.4 aperture and optical image stabilization for a 5X optical zoom, which reaches 10X in hybrid mode and 50x in digital mode.
These three sensors are joined by a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor which allows a gradual multi-layer bokeh effect to be obtained based on the distance from the subject. The sensor is also used for augmented reality applications, allowing the distance to objects to be measured with extreme precision.
In the front of the smartphone, inside the small drip notch, we find a 32 megapixel sensor with f / 2.0 focal aperture for high quality selfies thanks to HDR support. Also on Huawei P30 Pro there is a fingerprint reader housed below the OLED screen, to maximize the screen-to-body relationship .
Four colors are available, although not all will be available on all markets: Breathing Crystal, Black, Aurora and Amber Sunrise. The dimensions are 158 x 73.4 x 8.41 mm with a weight of 192 grams. The operating system is once again Android 9 Pie with custom interface EMUI 9.1.
Thanks also to the 6.47 inch screen, the dimensions of Huawei P30 Pro are slightly higher than that of Huawei Mate 20 Pro , from which it takes up the curved screen on the sides.
