LG G8s ThinQ was presented a few minutes ago, during an event held at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The device is equipped with a front camera with 3D TOF detection technology that allows you to use the Air Motion, gestures that allow you to perform operations such as starting or ending a call.
The Z Camera revolutionizes the user experience thanks to Air Motion, which is the recognition of hand movements. Without ever touching the phone users can answer or end calls, take a screenshot, launch a favourite application or adjust the volume of the media player.
LG G8s ThinQ
Taking advantage of Time of Flight (ToF) technology and infrared sensors, the new G8s is the first smartphone to offer authentication through the venous system. More secure than fingerprint recognition technology, the Hand ID developed by LG identifies the owner of the smartphone recognizing the shape, thickness and other unique characteristics of the veins in the hands.
The ToF camera measures the infrared rays reflected by the subjects to calculate the depth, making possible 3D facial recognition, impossible to deceive with a photograph.
The new LG G8s ThinQ also integrates the Portrait Mode for the first time in a video, giving users the ability to control the bokeh effect while recording video with the rear camera.
G8s ThinQ is characterized by a 6.2-inch FullVision OLED display with FHD + resolution and 18.7: 9 ratio, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor supported by 6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal memory expandable through MicroSD up to 2TB.
The photographic industry is characterized by a triple rear camera with the main sensor 12 MP f / 1.8 + 2X telephoto 12 MP f / 2.6 and super wide-angle lens 13 MP f / 2.4, while the double front camera is equipped with a sensor 8 MP f / 1.9 and ToF sensor. There is an integrated 3,550 mAh battery.
In Italy, LG G8s ThinQ will arrive, and it will be available “before the summer”. We still do not have certain details, but it seems that the difference between G8 and G8s is only nominal.
